1920’s USN LIfeboat Compass

A 98 year old US Navy lifeboat compass made by the Lionel Corporation in New York. Compass is dated September of 1919 serial # 3915. The copper housing and original oil pot are in very good condition. The brass compass is gimballed and in ship shape condition pointing to true north. This fine collector piece has been polished and lacquer coated as well as mounted to a slab of solid mahogany. Measures about 10 inches tall x 7 inches deep x 6.5 inches wide, not including the oil lamp attached to the side.
