A detailed blueprint of the United States Lines Transatlantic Liner SS Leviathan. The Leviathan was originally built in Germany and launched in 1914 as the S.S. Vaterland. She was seized in 1917 while docked in NYC from the Hamburg American Line by the U.S. Government. She was renamed Leviathan by President Woodrow Wilson and in 1923 sold to United States Line. She was referred to as the “Queen of the Seas”, she was huge, 950 feet long, and carried over 3000 passengers. She was a familiar site in N.Y. Harbor in the 1920’s and 1930’s…she was scrapped in 1936 in Scotland….plan measures 22” x 32”..Click on photo… I.D. # 53
