This remarkable oil-on-canvas- painting was created by known artist William Elroy Larsen, know in the art world simply as “Bill Larsen”. Larsen is known for his sea and landscape paintings which depict large human figures that dominate the canvas and fade into the scenery. Sensitive and imaginative, Larsen’s work invokes a sense of dream-like nostalgia. He was born in 1931 and worked as a painter and served in the National Guard and sadly, passed away in 2010.
